Hi! My name is Nico. I teach meditation; am a part-time artist; former Art Director; father to a young daughter; and a lifelong explorer of consciousness and altered states.

Born in Panama to a family of mixed Hispanic descent, I grew up moving between the US and various Latin-American countries.

Currently I am offering one-on-one or small group instruction in Valencia, Spain. Online teachings are also available. Please inquire for details.

The instruction I offer is in a form of contemplative practice from the Shankaracharya lineage of Advaita Vedanta. That’s a non-dualist school of Indian wisdom and dharma, or right way of living.

My training comes from a contemporary branch of this tradition known to most people as Vedic Meditation. VM is itself an off-shoot of Transcendental Meditation ⏤ a re-framed and, in a certain sense, repackaged form of ancient Vedic teachings developed in the West by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

The tradition to which this school belongs predates Hinduism and is rooted in a system of thought and self-realization that contends we are, at our core, a part of an ultimate reality that is infinite, pervasive, eternal, and conscious.

This ultimate reality is believed to be the source of all changes, though it itself does not change.

An encounter with it is experienced as being, fundamentally, one of bliss.

The practice is simple and open to everyone, irrispective of dogma.

The utilization of bija mantra composes the core of the system elaborated. However, the training comes with a deep pedigree, which encompasses myriad techniques and ancient ideas with a long and rich history.

For me the principles of this lineage are exquisite and the practice beautifully expansive. Its capacity to open up new pathways of living and being is a gift I wish to share with whomsoever desires to learn.
